Neurology Minutes Vol. 1
Neurological disorders are regularly encountered in the Emergency Department and often vary in clinical presentation and complaints. Because of the complexity of the neurological system, this course aims to provide an overview on common neurological disorders such as seizures, migraines, vertigo, neurologic infectious diseases and neuromuscular diseases. Furthermore, this course offers a comprehensive, evidence-based review on the key diagnostic protocols and current treatment guidelines for cerebrovascular diseases such as strokes, transient ischemic attacks, vertebral artery dissections, and traumatic intracranial hemorrhages. The target audience for emergency medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, paramedics and EMTs. All of these clinicians routinely encounter patients with neurological disorders, thus the content of this course will be directly applicable to their current scope of practice.
