Cardiology Minutes Vol. 2
Patients with pathology involving the cardiovascular system arrive in emergency settings with a wide variety of potential diagnoses. Conditions of the heart benefit considerably from early detection, and knowing the difference between a life threatening emergency and a less severe illness has a significant impact on patient outcomes. This course will review the symptoms, diagnostic techniques, differential diagnoses, and proper interventions for a variety of cardiovascular conditions, including ACS, heart arrhythmias, and more. The target audience for this course is paramedics, EMTs, emergency medical physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and nurse practitioners. These clinicians encounter cardiac-related complaints frequently, and the information in this course will be directly applicable to their current depth of knowledge.
