Cardiology Minutes vol. 1
Cardiac-related emergencies are broad in scope and represent some of the most high-priority cases that present to the Emergency Department. Timely diagnosis is necessary to initiate the proper treatment protocols and to enhance overall patient survival. This course will review the risk factors, symptoms, exam findings, diagnostic techniques, and course of treatment for a variety of cardiovascular conditions, including MI, cardiac arrest, and more. The target audience for this course is paramedics, EMTs, emergency medical physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and nurse practitioners. These clinicians are often the first point of contact for a patient experiencing a cardiac emergency, and education on the best practices to address these emergencies can be applied to expand their existing body of clinical knowledge.
